18 February an exhibition of graphic works "ARTIST - BOOK - TEXT"


The exhibition "The Artist - Book - text" is a work of graphic artists who exhibited in 2015 at the III Kazan International Biennale printmaking "rider", and in 2016 received the funds of "Island-town Sviyazhsk" Museum-Reserve.

Biennale - an exhibition, which is held every two years - in existence since 2011, it was organized by the State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Creative Union of Artists of Russia in Tatarstan and informal creative association "curves are also" supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan. In 2015, he joined the project Museum "Island-town Sviyazhsk".

Biennale in 2015 was dedicated to the Year of Literature in Russia, declared its motto: "Artist - Book - text". The works reveal a close relationship with the printed graphics literature, the importance of artistic expression of the literary text.

The topic aroused great interest of artists, and they offered a wide range of reading it. Among the exhibits -. Traditional illustration, author of artistic and semantic interpretation, works in the genre of "artist's book, bookplates, etc. The works were performed in a variety of forms and techniques of drawing.

Exposure Kazan Biennale of 2015 had a significant and geographically extensive part of the authors. There were presented more than 350 works by 120 artists from Russia and 12 CIS and non-CIS countries: Armenia, Belarus, Germany, India, Italy, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Macedonia, Mexico, the USA, Ukraine, Sweden. Actively involved in the conduct of the Biennale artists from Tatarstan.

In recognition of high artistic value of many works was their income to the Fund and the Pushkin Museum of RT GIAHMZ "Island-town Sviyazhsk". The Museum Reserve contains about 100 works at this exhibition presents more than 50 works by 32 artists.
