ABOUT SVIYAZHSK
State Historical, Architectural and Fine Arts Museum "Ostrov-grad Sviyazhsk" was created August 28, 2009. It is located in the attraction of the regional(national) values of the "Ostrov-grad Sviyazhsk".
Sviyazhsk is a unique historical, architectural and natural landscape place, located 30 km. from Kazan in the waters of three rivers Volga? Sviyaga and Schuka(Pike). Founded by Ivan the Terrible as a powerful fortress, Sviyazhsk preserved numerous monuments of ancient architecture, Orthodox culture and history.
